Annamayya: A woman beheaded her 35-year-old daughter-in-law and walked with her severed head to the police station in K Ramapuram village of Annamayya district in Andhra Pradesh.

The victim was identified as Vasundhara. She is a widow and has two children. Her husband had transferred the property to her wife before his death. The accused has been identified as Subbamma.

Circle Inspector of Rayachota Urban, Sudhakar Reddy, Subbamma is also a widow and has been living with her sister's family. The deceased Vasundhara (35) was allegedly having an illegal affair. Police said there were regular fights between Vasundhara and her family members on property issues. Feared that, Vasundhara would transfer the property in the name of the man she was having an affair with. Subbamma along with her sister's son Chandra Babu hatched a plan to eliminate her.

On Thursday, there was an altercation and Subamma beheaded Vasundhara.

After killing her, Subamma wrapped Vasundhara's head in a plastic cover and walked to the Rayachota police station. Policemen were shocked to see a woman carrying a head in a plastic bag. It took them an hour to register a case. Later Subbamma and her sister's son Chandrababu were taken into custody.
