Any progressive govt will endorse development; not The Kashmir Files: KCR
"Telangana will be back again in the next elections, no doubt. Politics is all about the equation, situation, and trend. Kejriwal can campaign in Telangana, " said KCR
By Newsmeter Network Published on 21 March 2022 2:38 PM GMTTelangana: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday slammed the BJP over the recently-released Hindi film 'The Kashmir Files' and said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was playing a new game to get votes.
"The BJP-ruled states have given holidays to employees to watch the film. It is like the government is spreading negative propaganda through social media. There are irrigation files and economic files to be taken up. Who wants 'The Kashmir Files'?" asked KCR.
"Any progressive government will endorse Irrigation/Industrial/ economic files. What is this Kashmir Files, who wants it. Even Kashmiri Pandits in Delhi are crying over lack of relief, rehabilitation provided to them", said KCR. Adding to this, he said,"In all index -Unemployment, Hunger , Development - Corruption - The BJP government has dragged down India. Even the 'Happiness' Index, India is below countries like Bhutan. All that BJP can do is promote #kashmirfiles. None else but 'Chunav ka Jumla'".
'One Nation, One Procurement' policy
On Monday, KCR demanded a "One Nation, One Procurement" policy for paddy. "There should be a single policy in grain procurement across the country. It is a matter of life and death for the farmers and we will fight 100% till the Centre buys the grains," he said. Regarding the policy, KCR said he will gather resolutions from all gram panchayats and send them to the Centre through the team of ministers that is visiting Delhi on 22 March. He called for a farmers' protest after Ugadi and said he will participate in the protest. He also asked the public to join the agitation.
Vacuum in national politics
KCR said the Centre had failed to control the COVID-19 pandemic. He also alleged that no new project has been sanctioned in the last eight years. Stating that there is a need for political change, KCR hinted that there was a vacuum in national politics and a possibility of a national party coming up in the next elections. Referring to BJP, KCR said that its time to pack them up and send them home.
"The number of bank frauds have escalated. In any angle, the central government's performance is poor. Progressive thinkers must come together and do something for the country," CM added.
No early election in Telangana
The Chief Minister said there is no point in holding early elections in the state as the conditions were not the same as it was in 2018. "We are in the process of completing all the schemes we started. This time, we would win 95 to 105 seats. A recent survey conducted in 30 places estimates that we would win 29 areas," said KCR. He added, "Telangana will be back again in the next elections, no doubt. Politics is all about the equation, situation, and trend. Kejriwal can campaign in Telangana."
He criticised PM Modi who had failed as the Prime Minister and said the country needed to change. "There is no anti-BJP front in the country, and the party needs to develop what the Indian people need," said KCR adding that after seven years of friendship with political strategist Prashant Kishor, he had become an expert in knowing the public pulse.
"Yes, Prashant Kishor is for working for us ( referring to TRS party). He never takes money for his work. He's not a paid worker. He's a committed man. He worked in 12 States. What's wrong in it (working with him)?", questioned the CM.
