AP 2024 YSRCP MP candidates list; Ankapalle pending

The YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Saturday released candidates' names for all the 174 assembly and 24 Lok Sabha constituencies. However, the party did not announced the MP candidate from Anakapalle.
Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh read out the names of the candidates for the Lok Sabha elections while Revenue Minister D Prasada Rao did so for the Assembly polls.
Continuing his sentiment, YS Jagan released the candidate list after paying tributes to his late father Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy at the YSR ghat in Idupulapaya. So far, the YSRCP had appointed incharges for 77 Assembly constituencies and 23 Lok Sabha constituencies. During a recent meeting with party leaders in Mangalagiri.
YS Jagan stated that the party had appointed in-charges in the constituencies where it was necessary to replace existing MLAs. He also hinted that sitting MLAs would continue as candidates in the remaining segments. YS Jagan laid focus on the allocation of seats to BCs, women and minorities and around 50 percent seats were given to BC, SC, ST and minorities. Of the total 25 MP seats, four seats were given to SCs, one for STs, 11 for BCs and nine for OCs.
YSRCP Candidates Seat Analysis
BC - In 2019, BC candidates were 48, now it is 59 - up by 11.
Minorities - In 2019, Muslim candidates were 5, now they are 7 - up by 2.
Women - In 2019, women candidates were 19, now they are 24 - up by 5.
