AP SSC results: Over 4L students clear exam; Prakasam reports highest pass percentage of 78.30%

AP residential schools secured the highest pass percentage of 91.10%, while government schools secured the lowest pass percentage of 50.10 %

AP SSC results: Over 4L students clear exam; Prakasam reports highest pass percentage of 78.30%

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh education minister Botsa Satyanarayana announced the SSC exam results in Vijayawada on Monday and said 4,14,281 students had passed of the 6,15,908 who had appeared. The state-wide pass percentage this year is 67.26 %. Prakasam district secured the highest percentage of 78.30% and Ananthapuram secured the lowest percentage of 49.70%.

This year, girls were ahead of the boys with a 70.70% pass percentage. For the boys, the pass percentage stood at 64.02%. The pass percentage for girls was 6.68% higher than that of the boys. Students from 11,671 schools appeared for the SSC exams. Only 797 schools secured a 100% pass percentage, while 71 schools secured a 0% pass percentage. Among the 71 schools, 31 are private schools


The memorandum of marks will be posted on www.bse.ap.gov.in after two days. School headmasters can download them using the school login. Individual students can download the memorandum of marks on www.results.bse.ap.gov.in.

COVID-19 impact on results

The education minister said the COVID-19 pandemic had impacted the SSC results as many students did not get proper coaching. Closure of schools and conducting online classes in the last two years have resulted in a low pass percentage in many schools in the state.

Supplementary exams from 6 July

The minister said supplementary exams for students who failed the exams will be conducted between 6-15 July. Students can pay the fee for supplementary exams from 7 June. Special coaching classes for those students will start on 13 June.

Recounting and re-verification

Candidates who wish to apply for recounting of their answer scripts can pay Rs. 500 per subject through CFMS Citizen Challan (www.cfms.ap.gov.in) on or before 20 June.
