At Dubai Expo 2020, Hyd-based Country Chicken Co shows what sets it apart from others
Country Chicken Co has become the first meat company from India to present at the Expo 2020 Dubai. The Hyderabad-based company sells five different kinds of 'Naatu Kodi' (country chicken) in partnership with various farmers across Telangana and other states.

Country Chicken Co has become the first meat company from India to present at the Expo 2020 Dubai. The Hyderabad-based company sells five different kinds of 'Naatu Kodi' (country chicken) in partnership with various farmers across Telangana and other states.
Country Chicken Co. Founder Hemambar Reddy, CEO Saikesh, Chief Operating Officer Moh Sami, and Chief Strategist Officer Abhishek Patawar presented their business model to various investors from across the world on 24 March in Elevate XIX organized by the General Consulate of India. Country Chicken Co has set up a stall in the Indian Pavillion. On 26 March, they were given a whole day to be featured as an upcoming start-up as part of the India Innovation Startup Bus.
India Innovation Hub is a project of the India Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai where over 500 start-ups from India will be showcased. The project provides a platform to promote start-ups and innovators of India by providing them exposure to the global investors' community through B2B events and activities like Elevate and pitching sessions.
As many as 2000 people visited the Country Chicken Co stall at the expo to learn more about the company. "We have also met several businessmen from across the world," said Saikesh.
He added, "Abdulaziz Kamilov, from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Information from Uzbekistan, showed a keen interest in Country Chicken Co. He invited us to Uzbekistan to help analyze and grow their poultry industry. We're very excited about this opportunity."
The team also met the Minister of Information and Broadcasting of India Anurag Thakur and presented the company to him. "He was very much interested in the business model and the various kinds of meat that Country Chicken Co has to offer," Abhishek explained.
Country Chicken Co was given the opportunity to present at Expo 2020 by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) along with the governments of India and Telangana.
At the Expo, the team presented the various kinds of Naatu Kodi and showcased what sets their company apart ā providing good food and an environment for chickens as they grow.
Country Chicken Co initially began as an online delivery platform in October 2021. After receiving an overwhelming response, a farm outlet shop in Pragathi Nagar, Kukatpally, opened in February 2022. Various kinds of country chicken like Kadaknath, Classic Andhra, Tender Telangana, and Mysore Queen are available at the outlet. The prices vary as per the weight and quality of the chicken.
"Further, we use high-quality organic feed such as aloe vera, sunflower seeds, cashew, pulses, and more," said Mr. Hemambar and explained that many people think there is only one kind of Naatu Kodi. "Each Naatu Kodi is different in its own way, in terms of texture, color, and taste," he said. For example, Kadaknath meat is extremely dark, almost black.
