Sribharat, president of the Visakhapatnam-based Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (deemed to be a university), was defeated in 2019 by YSRCP candidate MVV Satyanarayana.

Younger brother wins in Vijayawada

Since the Kesineni brothers split parties, it has become peculiar for voters in the Vijayawada parliamentary constituency to choose between two brothers. TDP fielded a novice Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) against his brother, two-time MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani).

In an unexpected turn, Kesineni Chinni won by 282085 votes over his brother. Kesineni Nani won as an MP from Vijayawada in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections on behalf of the TDP.

Kinjarapu scores hattrick

Srikakulam MP Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu has scored a hat-trick winning with a margin of 327901 votes. He is the son of Kinjarapu Yerran Naidu, a TDP leader who served as an MLA from Tekkali and later became MP from Srikakulam.

Kinjarapu, who entered politics in 2012 after his father's death, was first made the MP constituency in charge in 2013. In 2014, he contested the elections for Srikakulam Constituency and was then the second youngest Member of Parliament to the 16th Lok Sabha. Kinjarapu was known for having solid discussions in the House. He introduced a private members bill to draw the center's attention towards the Andhra Pradesh Railway Zone with Vishakhapatnam as its headquarters.

Second time MP

BJP candidate CM Ramesh won for the second time from Anakapalli Lok Sabha constituency with a margin of 296530 votes. He defeated his nearest YSRCP rival candidate, Budi Muthyala Naidu. CM Ramesh is the founder and chairman of Rithwik Projects Pvt. Ltd., set up in 1999.

Purandeswari wins

State BJP chief Daggubati Purandeswari won the Rajamahendravaram Lok Sabha segment with a margin of 239139 votes. She defeated YSRCP MP candidate Dr Guduri Srinivas. While the segment has traditionally been the TDPā€™s stronghold, it was a test for the daughter of TDP founder and former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao who was fighting as a non-local candidate in Rajamahendravaram.

Krishnadevarayulu wins from TDP

Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu, who represents Narsaraopet in the Lok Sabha from the TDP, has won for the second time. He was earlier with the YSRCP. However, he quit the party when he was asked to switch his constituency. He later joined the TDP.

He has spoken in Parliament on a range of legislation, including the Surrogacy (Regulation) Bill, the National Medical Commission Bill, The Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, and the Central Universities (Amendment) Bill. He has also raised various issues in Parliament, a few of which are the demand to establish a Chilli Board in Guntur and the Construction of the Varikapudisala Lift Irrigation Project in Andhra Pradesh.

Magunta wins

Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy, who was named in the Delhi excise scam case, secured a significant victory against YSRCP's two-time MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy with a margin of 50,473 votes. The Enforcement Directorate accused Sreenivasulu and his son, Raghava Reddy, of money laundering. They own Balaji Distilleries.

Over the two decades, Sreenivasulu Reddy swung between parties. He was elected to the Lok Sabha from Ongole on a Congress ticket in 1998, 2004, and 2009. He later joined the TDP after the bifurcation but lost in the 2014 general elections. He then shifted to the YSRCP and won in 2019. However, after being denied a ticket for the 2024 general election, he returned to the TDP.

Tea-Time Uday

Tangella Uday Srinivas, popularly known as Tea-Time Uday, won the MP seat from the Kakinada Janasena party for the first time. Uday, the founder of the famous chain of tea shops, Tea Time, won with a margin of 229491 votes.

Mithun Reddy wins as third-time MP

YSRCP's Peddireddy Mithun Reddy won for the third time as MP from Rajampet, with a margin of 76071 votes. He defeated his rival and former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy. In 2019, too, Mithun won with a thumping majority of 268,284 votes against his closest rival, DK Satya Prabha of the TDP.

Avinash Reddy wins against cousin

YSRCP Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy defeated his nearest rival CB Subbarami Reddy of TDP.

His cousin YS Sharmila from the Congress was related to third place. This is the third win as MP from Kadapa. The outcome in the Kadapa LS segment dealt a significant blow to YS Sharmila, as she was defeated by her cousin.

Despite a spirited campaign, Sharmila could not make it through and was relegated to third place. Kadapa witnessed a fierce contest after APCC chief Sharmila challenged Avinash Reddy, who is embroiled in the case relating to the murder of former minister and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's late uncle, Vivekananda Reddy.

Kadapa holds significant historical resonance for the YS family, having been represented by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy himself, his late father former CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy, and Vivekananda Reddy on various occasions over several decades.
