Bill Gates to visit Amaravati tomorrow, meet CM Naidu on Health, AI & Vision 2047

Amaravati: Gates Foundation founder chairman Bill Gates will visit Andhra Pradesh on Monday to hold high-level discussions with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and senior members of the State Cabinet on strengthening collaboration in key sectors such as public health, education, agriculture and technology-driven governance.

According to official sources, the visit is aimed at deepening partnerships between the State Government and the Foundation to scale up ongoing initiatives and explore new areas of cooperation.

High-level meeting at Secretariat

Gates is scheduled to arrive at the State Secretariat at 10 a.m., where he will meet the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and IT Minister Nara Lokesh.

The discussions will focus on diversifying and expanding projects in health, education and agriculture with technical and institutional support from the Gates Foundation.

Presentation on Vision 2047 and Governance Reforms

Chief Minister Naidu will make a detailed presentation on the State’s reform agenda under the Swarnandhra Vision-2047 framework. He is expected to highlight initiatives in public health, agriculture, education, MedTech and diagnostic services.

Officials said the Chief Minister will also explain the State’s real-time governance model and its measurable outcomes.

Visit to RTGS Centre

As part of the itinerary, Mr. Gates will visit the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) Centre to observe the use of technology in public administration. The demonstration will showcase data-driven governance, monitoring systems and service delivery mechanisms implemented by the State.

Focus on Sanjeevani and Health Collaboration

The State Government will present a detailed demonstration of the “Sanjeevani” project, being implemented in collaboration with the Gates Foundation, aimed at strengthening healthcare delivery and access to diagnostics.

Field visit to AI-enabled farm

Later in the day, the delegation will visit a farm near Undavalli village in Amaravati to review agricultural practices supported by drone technology and artificial intelligence.

The visit will highlight the State’s efforts to integrate advanced technologies into farming to improve productivity and sustainability.

Officials described the visit as significant for enhancing Andhra Pradesh’s global partnerships and accelerating innovation-led growth across priority sectors.
