Breaking: Kavitha suspended from BRS party

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samiti MLC and Telangana Jagruti president Kalvakuntla Kavitha has been suspended from the party with immediate effect.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the party expressed displeasure over her remarks and actions against its interests. The letter mentioned that party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao had issued the suspension orders.

The move comes just a day after Kavitha accused BRS MLA and former Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao, along with her cousin Joginapally Santosh Rao and ex-Rajya Sabha MP Megha Krishna Reddy, of being behind KCR’s ‘framing’ in the PC Ghose Commission of Inquiry on the Kaleshwaram project.

She alleged that Harish Rao and Santosh Rao were deeply involved in irregularities, handled critical aspects of the project, amassed large assets, and kept KCR unaware. She further claimed that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was shielding Harish Rao and Santosh Rao while deliberately targeting her father.
