Chevella: Who is more rich on wealth scale; Ranjith Reddy or Vishweshwar Reddy

Hyderabad: Dr Gaddam Ranjit Reddy who filed his nomination as the Congress candidate in Chevella Lok Sabha seat owns family assets of Rs 445.37 crores, as per his election affidavit. He is the opponent of Konda Vishweshwar Reddy from BJP who is one the richest Lok Sabha candidates with a worth of Rs 4,568 crores.

Movable and Immovable assets:

Ranjit Reddy’s election affidavit shows that his movable properties are worth Rs 1,58,81,47,276 and his immovable assets are worth Rs 97,48,75,000.

Ranjit Reddy's spouse’s movable properties are worth Rs 135,52,19,885 and her immovable assets are worth Rs 43,52,50,000. Their dependant has assets worth Rs 14,17,632.

Ranjith has shares in Rajeswara Hatcheries, Rajeswara Feed, Rohini Minerals, Rohini Ispat, DSR SR Infra and other firms. The lands and buildings in Medchal, Ibrahimpatnam, Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills.

He served as an MP from BRS earlier and his family assets grew by 166 per cent.

Vishweshwar Reddy’s election affidavit shows that his movable properties are worth Rs 11,78,72,63,309 while his immovable assets are worth Rs 71,35,25,236.

Vishweshwar Reddy's spouse’s movable properties are worth Rs 32,03,90,79,076 and her immovable assets are worth Rs 5,51,25,000. Their dependant has assets worth Rs 107,44,79,473.

A majority of his assets, along with those of his spouse Sangeeta Reddy, are movable and include stock in businesses like Apollo Hospital Enterprises Limited, PCR Investments, Citadel Research, Saffron Solutions, and others.

The poll affidavit showed that the net worth of Vishweshwar Reddy is roughly Rs 1,240 crores, while his son is worth around Rs 108 crores and his wife’s net worth is Rs 3,208 crores.

The couple’s diamond and gold assets are valued at Rs 11 crores. Vishweshwar Reddy also possesses agricultural lands in Chevella, Rajendranagar, and Chittoor, as well as two villas on Aparna Elixir, Puppalaguda.

Both Ranjith Reddy and Vishweshwar Reddy don't own a car.

Income:

Ranjith’s income for 2022-23 was Rs 4,92,63,730 and his spouse was Rs 4,95,85,090. Vishweshwar Reddy’s income for the same period was Rs 4,65,48,830 and his spouse's was Rs 12,43,02,740.

Liabilities:

While Ranjith Reddy has liabilities of Rs 20,39,00,146, Vishweshwar Reddy has liabilities worth Rs 1,76,94,000.

Police cases:

While there is one pending case against Ranjith, Vishweshwar Reddy has four pending cases including cases involving forgery, cheating, criminal conspiracy to commit an offence, tampering or manipulating a computer system, disobedience to an order duly promulgated by a public servant and bribery in elections.

Education:

Ranjith completed his Master of Veterinary Sciences from the University at Rajendranagar. Konda completed his Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Madras.
