Chit fund employee dies by suicide following alleged harassment from TRS leader in Pochampally

Hyderabad: An employee of Vijaya Durga Finance company died by suicide following alleged harassment by his employer Kota Malla Reddy, a TRS leader in Pochampally in Yadadri Bhuvanagari. The deceased Gangadhari Satyanarayana aged 46 years was working with Kota Malla Reddy's Vijaya Durga Finance company from 2 years.

Satyanarayana's wife filed a complaint with Vanasthalipuram police alleging that TRS leader Kota Malla Reddy was responsible for her husband's death and that Malla Reddy had been harassing him for the past few days. Vanasthalipuram police have registered a case against Kota Malla Reddy for abetment to commit suicide.

Background

Three days ago, Kota Malla Reddy called Satyanarayana in the morning and asked him to come to the office.

In the office, Malla Reddy blamed Satyanarayana for some missing accounts and said that he had taken the money from the office. Malla Reddy further abused him in filthy language, confiscated his cell phone and bike and also shamed him.

Satyanarayana came home and shared all this with his wife. According to his wife, for the past three days, he was very upset and stayed inside the house throughout the day.

On 26 April at around 3:30 pm Satyanarayana's wife went to the first floor and noticed that the bedroom door was closed from inside. Then she called her husband for a long time thinking that her husband was sleeping.

After calling and knocking for a while, she became suspicious and came down shouting and informed the same to their house owner. Some people staying nearby came and broke the bedroom doors and saw that Satyanarayana had attempted suicide. They immediately laid him down but he had already died.
