CM Naidu assumed charge, signed first file on mega DSC notification

Naidu signed the first signature on the Mega District Selection Committee (DSC) for the recruitment of 16,347 teacher posts. The previous YSRCP government delayed issuing the DSC notification despite making a promise ahead of the 2019 Assembly elections.

En route to the secretariat, Amaravati farmers showered the CM with flower petals and chanted 'Jai Babu' as the convoy passed through the city. Several banners and posters were erected in the capital to welcome Naidu. Naidu flashed the victory sign at his supporters. Some of them followed his convoy on two-wheelers.
During the election campaign, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan announced that the NDA government's priority is releasing the Mega DSC notification. Under DSC, recruitment would be made for the posts of school assistants, Secondary Grade Teachers, Language Pandits, Physical Education Teachers, and Special Education Teachers at the primary level in the category of SGT and SET at the upper primary/secondary level in the category of school assistant under the Government and Local Body schools.
Second Signature -Land Titling Act
The Chief Minister's second signature is filing a petition to scrap the contentious Land Titling Act, which the YSRCP government brought in October 2023. According to the TDP, the Act is said to have allowed the government and outsiders to take away private properties. TDP also alleged that the Act was meant to legalise land encroachments by YSRCP leaders.
During the election campaign, Naidu promised to scrap the Act after coming to power.
Naidu branded it as the "Land Grabbing Act" and has made gestures, such as tearing up land revenue passbooks at public rallies.
Third Signature - Enhancement of welfare pension
As a poll promise, Naidu announced an increase in pension to Rs 4000 monthly from Rs 3000.
Fourth Signature -Restoration of Anna Canteens:
Naidu is reopening the Anna Canteens which were closed by the YSRCP government. The canteens which were started during the TDP regime between 2004 and 2019 offered food for Rs 5 to people in need.
Fifth Signature -Skill Census:
The idea of a Skill Census originally came from Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan. The objective is to help identify people's skills so that policies can be devised to cater to their needs.
Naidu was sworn in as the Chief Minister on Wednesday at Kesarapalle.
Before arriving at the secretariat, the CM visited the Tirupati and Vijayawada Durga temples.
