CM Revanth announces Rs 1 lakh for Civil Services Prelims qualifiers
CM met 41 candidates at the Praja Bhavan, who have successfully cleared the prelims of the Civil Services examination
By Sri Lakshmi Muttevi Published on 20 July 2024 8:53 AM GMTTelangana: āThose who qualified in the Civil Services Prelims exam will be given Rs 1 lakh,ā said chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday, during the launch of the Rajiv Gandhi Civils Abhayahastam scheme at Praja Bhavan.
Revanth met around 41 candidates at the Praja Bhavan, who have successfully cleared the preliminary stage of the Civil Services examination.
The government initiative aims to provide financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to candidates from the State who qualify for the Civil Services preliminary examination through the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). Revanth commended the SCCL for their contribution. He emphasised the need to provide financial assistance to candidates preparing for the Civil Services and called it a historic decision.
Recruitment will be completed by December 9
Speaking at the launch, Revanth said that in this State Assembly session, the government will introduce the job calendar. By March, we will collect vacancy details from all departments for each year. By June 2, notifications will be issued. By December 9, the recruitment process will be completed, he said.
Revanth said that the government has given top priority to addressing the problems of the unemployed. Appointment orders filling 30,000 posts were already given within three months after coming to power, he stated.
āThe unemployed youth struggled a lot in the last 10 years. The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) was reformed on the lines of UPSC. The TGPSC already conducted Group 1 prelims and DSC exams are in progress,ā said Revanth.
He stated that the governmentās focus is to solve the problems of the unemployed and also decided to conduct the examinations efficiently in a well-planned plan.
