CM Revanth Reddy asks police to free Telangana from drugs and ganja mafia

Hyderabad: “In Telangana, the drug mafia is a major cause for concern. The narcotics and ganja mafia should be exposed by the police. It is your duty to safeguard young people and rid Telangana of the drug problem,” said chief minister A Revanth Reddy. He participated in a programme held at LB Stadium on Wednesday and handed over appointment letters to as many as 15,750 police constables.

'Indiramma Rajyam' will stay for 10 more years

Addressing the gathering, the chief minister said, “The state government is ready to address the plight of the unemployed youth. For the next 10 years, I will serve the people round-the-clock as chief minister for Telangana. If people bless, 'Indiramma Rajyam' will stay for 10 more years. I will see how K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) comes back to power,”.

Revanth Reddy also said that it is a proud moment that youth who fought for Telangana's separate statehood secured jobs. The same contentment he was experiencing now after handing over appointment letters to them that he experienced earlier after being sworn in as the chief minister, he said, and added that steps are being taken by the government to reduce unemployment deaths in the state.

Youth believed separate statehood for Telangana would generate employment opportunities

The chief minister said that several youths believed that separate statehood for Telangana would generate employment opportunities. The previous BRS government which ruled for a decade in the state was least bothered about recruiting the vacant posts in various government departments, he criticised. “We reviewed with the officials and cleared all hurdles to fill the vacant posts with eligible youths,” he added.

KCR has given jobs only to his family members

Taking potshots at former minister T Harish Rao, the chief minister said that the latter suggested the government send the appointment letters to the qualified youth to their homes instead of conducting an event. “As a family member, I will experience happiness after witnessing the joy in the eyes of job aspirants. KCR has given jobs only to his family members. Why has he failed to address the plight of the unemployed youth in the state during his regime?,” Revanth said.

KCR boycotted Assembly hiding in his farmhouse

Launching a scathing attack on KCR, Revanth Reddy said that the previous BRS government’s consent to hand over the joint projects on the Krishna River to the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) has now become a curse to the people of Telangana. “Even though I am appealing to KCR to extend his support to the state government to fight with the Centre on Krishna River issue, the latter boycotted the ongoing Assembly budget sessions and hid in his farmhouse,” he said.

Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Tummala Nageswara Rao and Jupally Krishna Rao, Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumar, Director-General of Police (DGP) Ravi Gupta and other senior officials were also present.
