CM Revanth unveils Bharat Future City project, targets Fortune 500 investments by 2035

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday laid the foundation stone for the Bharat Future City Development Authority (FCDA) building and Greenfield Radial Road-1 at Mirkhanpet village in Kandukur mandal, Rangareddy district.

The mega project is envisioned as a global hub for Fortune 500 companies within the next decade.

City of opportunities

Addressing a massive gathering, the Chief Minister described Bharat Future City as a ‘destination for investments and opportunities’, promising world-class infrastructure and modern urban facilities.

“Let us develop a city that the entire world speaks about,” he said, comparing the project to Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Cyberabad, which were built in earlier eras.

Opposition allegations rebutted

CM Revanth accused the opposition of spreading canards and hatching conspiracies against the project. He dismissed allegations that he owned land in the project area, stating, “The Future City is for future generations, not for my family.”

He appealed to people not to be misled or approach courts unnecessarily, assuring that the government would resolve grievances through dialogue.

National connectivity and bullet train link

The Chief Minister announced that the Union government had approved a bullet train project between Future City and Amaravati.

Plans are also underway to build a dry port connected to Machilipatnam and develop greenfield highways to enhance connectivity with Andhra Pradesh and Bengaluru.

He added that the new city would feature underground power lines and advanced urban infrastructure.

Key projects by December

The Future City Development Centre and Skill University are scheduled for completion by December.

Once operational, the FCDA will meet thrice a month from its new premises, hosting investors’ meetings to attract global participation.

The Chief Minister also directed that 10 acres be allotted to Singareni Collieries for its corporate headquarters in the city.

Deputy CM: Crown jewel of the world

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu hailed the project as the future crown jewel of India and the world, with industries in IT, pharma, agriculture, and a proposed international stadium.

Drawing parallels with the foundation of Hyderabad by Quli Qutb Shah, he said: “Just as Hyderabad was once envisioned for prosperity, Future City will define the future of our nation.”

‘A benchmark for planned cities’

Industries and IT Minister D Sridhar Babu said Bharat Future City would emerge as a role model for urban development, surpassing Chandigarh in planned city status. Designed on the “Live–Learn–Work–Play” model, the city will integrate industries, healthcare, education and leisure facilities at global standards.

He also stressed that the project would be a Net Zero Carbon City, balancing industrial growth with environmental sustainability. “This foundation is not just for a city but for the golden future of our children,” he said.
