Control rooms opened, relied teams set up, situation under control, says CM KCR

Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao conducted a review meeting with the officials on Sunday afternoon regarding the rain situation in the state. He said that in the Godavari, near Samakka Barriage there has been high flow of water. He said that the water levels are rising in some of the districts and relief teams have been set up everywhere. 2-3 IAF helicopters are also on standby, he said.

Meanwhile, Telangana government on Sunday declared three days holidays to all the educational institutions in the state. KCR also said that the government has instructed RTC drivers to ensure they were driving slowly. "We also identified and informed the respective district collectors to move people living in houses that are old,"he said.

Further CM KCR said, "In areas where cloud burst has taken place such as Nirmal, and Nizamabad, we are hoping to clear excess water very soon."The CM also advised everyone to not go outside. He said that there was no need to panic and that the government is ready to control the situation. KCR said that many control rooms have been opened at several places across the state. He added that the control rooms will be working for 24 hours and said that the people can reach out anytime.
