Arrangements for the Global Investors Summit 2023 

Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy reached Visakhapatnam on Thursday to attend the Global Investors Summit (GIS).

The Summit will be held on 3 and 4 March at the Andhra University Engineering College Ground in Visakhapatnam. All arrangements have been made for industry giants, delegates, and foreigners who will visit the city for the summit.


Around 8,000 people from various industries and organisations have registered to participate in the summit and 26 chartered flights will land at Visakhapatnam airport during the summit.

According to state industries and IT minister Gudivada Amarnath, the inaugural session of the Summit on 3 March will have a keynote address by Union ministers Nitin Gadkari and Piyush Goyal. Some of the bigwigs attending the event include Mukesh Ambani, Karan Adani, K.M. Birla, Sajjan Jindal, Sanjiv Bajaj, Naveen Jindal, and a few more to be named. There will be 14 ambassadors from various countries at the summit.


“As per the government’s vision, we will be focusing on 14 sectors such as aerospace and defence, pharmaceutical, medical equipment and health care, education and skilling, automobile and electric vehicle, MSME, textile and tourism. Industries are eagerly waiting to invest in Andhra Pradesh. It is the right time to hold the investors meet,” said minister Gudivada Amarnath. Also, major focus will be on the green energy sector.

During the two-day summit, MoUs and investments worth Rs. 3 lakh crores, country sessions, and an exhibition showcasing Andhra’s culture and resources will be exchanged.


Five halls, 130 stalls

The summit will have five large halls with German hangars and 130 exclusive stalls from 14 different business sectors. Each hall will have different events such as government to business (G2B) meetings, media conferences, dining halls for delegates, seminars, meetings, and restrooms.

· Hall 1 will have a dining facility.

· Hall 2 will have 130 stalls of investors under different categories.

Hall 3 is a conference hall.

· Hall 4 is dedicated to VVIPS, CMs meeting hall, CM board room, and chief secretary room.

· Hall 5 is exclusively for seminars and service rooms for staff.


Live telecast

People of Visakhapatnam can watch the two-day summit live on screens set up at public places, including VMRDA park and Beach road.

Andhra delicacies

From Gutti Vankai curry to Bommidala Pulsu, the two-day summit will have mouth-watering Andhra delicacies for the guests. This will be a treat for those who will taste authentic Andhra food. Some dishes include Ulavacharu, chicken fry, tomato pappu, prawns pulusu, and special podis. There will be a different menu on the two days.

Gift hampers

Guests for GIS 2023 will be given gift hampers comprising 12 types of tribal products, including honey, instant coffee pure, instant coffee blend, coffee roasted beans, cashew, black pepper, turmeric powder, amla candy, soapnut hairwash, soapnut handwash, herbal pain relief oil, and herbal hair oil.
