CV Anand and 2 IPS officers in Telangana promoted to DGP rank
On Monday, a GO has been issued on the Empanelment and Promotions to the Rank of DGP.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 7 Aug 2023 12:55 PM GMTHyderabad: Three senior IPS officers of Telangana Cadre ā CV Anand, Hyderabad City police commissioner, Dr Jitender, principal secretary to government Home Department, and Rajiv Ratan, managing director, Telangana State Police Housing Corporation (TSPHC) ā have been promoted to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP).
On Monday, a government order (GO) was issued on the empanelment and promotions to the rank of DGP, which included the three IPS officersā names.

As per the GO, Rajiv Ratan will be retaining his title as MD, TSPHC, Hyderabad, in the rank of Director General of Police.
CV Anand has also retained his title as the commissioner of police, Hyderabad City, in the rank of DGP. He will also hold full additional charge for the post of additional director general, Telangana State Anti-narcotics Bureau, Hyderabad.
Dr Jitender has been retained as principal secretary to the government Home Department in the rank of Director General of Police. He will also continue to hold full additional charge for the posts of director general, Prisons and Correctional Services, and Special Protection Force.
