Telugu-speaking people are celebrating after RRR created history by winning a Golden Globe - a first for the country. Similarly, Telangana is celebrating after it bagged big-ticket investments worth ₹21,000 Crore.

Telangana delegation led by KTR was able to showcase the business potential of the state which struck a chord with the investors at the World Economic Forum (WEF).

This comes at a time when the world is talking about recession and the investment climate is not conducive. Telangana under the leadership of Minister KTR managed to attract whooping investments worth ₹21,000 Cr in the state.

Such was the presentation that several big companies pledged to invest in Telangana.

Microsoft : ₹16,000 Cr

Microsoft, which earlier had committed to establish three data centers with a capacity of 100 MW of IT load each at a cost of ₹16,000 Crore, has now decided to set up six data centers in the state. The company will now invest ₹32,000 Crore.

Airtel: ₹2000 Cr

Bharti Airtel Group announced to invest ₹2,000 Cr for setting up a large hyperscale data center in Hyderabad with a capacity of 60 megawatts (MW) of IT load. This is one of Airtel’s biggest Greenfield data center projects in India.

Eurofina: ₹1000 Cr

The global leader in food, environment, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic product testing as well as a global scientific leader in bioanalytical testing, announced to establish a laboratory campus in Hyderabad with an investment worth ₹1,000 Cr. Spread over 90,000 square feet, the laboratory reinforces the position of Hyderabad as a world-class location for drug discovery.

PepsiCo, Allox, Appolo Tyres, WebPT, Inspire Brands: ₹2,000 Cr

Global multinational food company PepsiCo announced its plan to expand its operations in Hyderabad. PepsiCo started with 250 employees in 2019 and now 2800 employees are working in the plant. It has plans to take the employee strength to 4,000 within the next one and a half years.

Allox Advance Materials announced to set up C- Lithium Iron Phosphate active battery material production unit in the state with an initial capacity of 3GWH/PA to further expand to a capacity of 10GWH.

Apollo Tyres announced to establish a mega Digital Innovation Centre in Hyderabad. The outpatient rehabilitation therapy patient and practice management company, WebPT announced to set up its new Global Capabilities Centre in Hyderabad.

The $40 billion US company `Inspire’ announced its interest to set up its Support Centre in Hyderabad. `Inspire’ owns popular brands such as Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, Buffalo Wild Wings, Dunkin, Jimmy John’s, Rusty Taco, and Sonic.

Biggest achievement

The biggest accomplishment of the team is that World Economic Forum has chosen Hyderabad as its India hub for establishing a Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution focused on healthcare and life sciences.

Telangana is already well termed the vaccine center of the world. It now produces near to 1/3rd of all global vaccines. With this announcement, Telangana will broaden its position as a global leader in this segment.

In the last eight years, Telangana has attracted more than Rs 2.7 lakh crore in investment in various sectors and created more than 17 lakh direct employment in the state. Not to forget, most of the experts doubted the capacity and capability of the newly formed government in the state back then in 2014. Proving everyone wrong, Telangana has proved its capacity under the visionary leadership of CM K ChandraShekar Rao.
