Deport: Trump offers $1000 to illegal foreign nationals to leave US

United States: The US government has asked foreign nationals in the United States residing illegally to leave immediately, opting for Self Deportation Programme.

In a post on X on Sunday, the Department of Homeland Security announced a historic opportunity for foreign nationals who wish to leave the United States, including those unlawfully present. Depending on their circumstances, they might receive financial and other assistance from the US government to depart.

Individuals who wish to take advantage of this offer must register through the CBP Home App: dhs.gov/cbphome.

On May 9, US president Donald Trump signed an executive order to create a federally funded self-deportation program with paid flights and an “exit bonus” for any who seek to “voluntarily and permanently” leave the U.S. The government will give a $1,000 stipend to those who voluntarily depart from the country. This stipend will be given after their return is verified through the CBP link App.

The initiative also includes an exit bonus and a free plane ticket to those planning to exit the country permanently.

How to avail?

To avail this, the foreign nationals should register through the CBP link App, enter biographical details and specify the financial or documentation assistance.

It may be recalled that earlier, Trump also described what he called an “important exit bonus” for illegals to “incentivise” their self-deportation. “This deportation bonus will save American taxpayers billions and billions of dollars. What Biden did to this country can never be explained, will never, ever be accepted. Eventually, when the illegals are gone, it will save us trillions of dollars. However, if illegal aliens choose to remain in America, they’re remaining illegally, and they will face severe consequences,” Trump said.
