Did your son play cricket before being appointed as BCCI secretary: KTR lampoons Amit Shah

Hyderabad: Launching a counter-offensive at the union home minister, BRS Working President KTR today asked Amit Shah to clarify whether his son Jay Shah played cricket or provided coaching before he was appointed as BCCI secretary.

KTR said Amit Shah's statements in the Adilabad public meeting were filled with blatant lies. He also said that Amit Shah has become a laughing stock in Telangana.

KTR said that it is ironic to see Amit Shah speak of family politics. KTR asked Shah to clarify whether his son Jay Shah played cricket or provided coaching before being appointed as BCCI Secretary.

“Amit Shah, during a speech in Adilabad district five years ago, pledged to revive the dormant Cement Corporation of India. Half a decade later, the promise remains unfulfilled,” KTR said.

He highlighted the BJP government's neglect and said that in the decade since Telangana's inception, not a single educational institution has been granted to the state. KTR said that the Telangana government allocated land for a Tribal University years ago, but it remains unrealized.

KTR said that Amit Shah's claim that Telangana holds the top position in farmer suicides is false and misleading. He added that the BJP copied the Rythu Bandhu and other model schemes from Telangana and is accusing the farmers of Telangana were committing suicide. KTR said that it's unfortunate to see a Union Minister like Amit Shah boldly propagating falsehoods in front of the people.

KTR added that people have lost trust in BJP leaders who only make false promises when elections come. “BJP is more interested in using religion for political gains, potentially disrupting communal harmony,” said KTR.

He added that such parties are not credible in the eyes of the Telangana people.

KTR demanded Amit Shah provide a detailed account of what the BJP has accomplished for Telangana over the past decade before asking people for votes. KTR stated that BRS’s steering was in the hands of KCR but the BJP’s steering went into the hands of Adani. He said that the people of Telangana will give a fitting reply to BJP in the upcoming elections.

“People are tired of the empty promises made by BJP leaders during elections. Instead, they should address issues like unemployment and rising essential commodity prices,” said KTR.

He alleged that Amit Shah's narrative is designed purely for emotional manipulation. He also said that State BJP President Kishan Reddy should have informed Amit Shah about the official state celebrations on September 17 which is observed as National Integration Day.

KTR challenged Shah to show a state that has progressed more than Telangana. KTR said that Telangana has made significant progress in various sectors over the past nine years. KTR exuded confidence that the wisdom of the Telangana people will be reflected in the election results and BRS will record a massive victory.
