Disproportionate income case: ACB searches 12 locations; Kaleshwaram project’s EE Nune Sridhar held
Hyderabad: Anti-Corruption Bureau has taken into custody Kaleshwaram project’s executive engineer (EE) Nune Sridhar in a disproportionate assets case booked against him.
On the morning of June 11, ACB sleuths are carrying out searches at 12 locations in Hyderabad and other districts. The searches come after intelligence inputs suggested that he has amassed huge wealth disproportionate to his income.
Initial Probe
The ACB raids against Sridhar revealed that the engineer purchased luxruy villas, multi floors buildings across Telangana and even spent crores on his son's destination wedding in Thailand and holds a partnership in chain of hotels. Sleuths of (ACB) searched 12 locations linked to Sridhar and his relatives in Hyderabad, Warangal and Karimnagar.
The initial probe revealed that the man owns multiple properties against his legal source of income. Raids are on at his properties-
•4 floors building in Malakpet
•4500 square feet flat in SKY HIGH, in Shaikpet
•Luxury villa in Urjit gated enclave, Tellapur
•3 floors building in Warangal
Sridhar served as the executive engineer in the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation scheme. In 2019, it was Nuni who inspected the project Kaleshwaram Site after complaints of leakages. Nuni submitted a report stating there were no leakages in the project and dismissed complaints of leakages.
