Doyen of English, Telugu journalism CHVM Krishna Rao is no more

Krishna Rao's remarkable 47-year career was a testament to his unwavering dedication to the field of journalism.
A news junkie who could feel the political pulse, Krishna Rao's journey began as a stinger in 1975. He quickly rose through the ranks, leaving an indelible mark on English and Telugu journalism.
He served Eenadu, Andhra Prabha, Andhra Bhoomi, Deccan Chronicle, and The New Indian Express in different capacities.
His longest and most impactful role was as the chief of the news bureau for Deccan Chronicle, where he served for over 18 years.

He was my first Bureau-In-Chief, where I worked under his shadow for 7 years in Deccan Chronicle. The industry is shocked.
He was an authority on political affairs, water, and Irrigation issues. Such was his nose for news that he could bring out scoops from nowhere. An affable and respected journalist, chief ministers and top political leaders would not hesitate to personally call him.
Tragically, he lost a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, son, daughter, and two grandchildren. In his illustrious career, he held no regrets and had countless people to thank for his success.
