Dr K.S Jawahar Reddy is the Chief Secretary of AP

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday announced a major bureaucrat reshuffle. Dr. K.S. Jawahar Reddy, special chief secretary to Chief Minister, has been appointed as chief secretary to the government of Andhra Pradesh. He is taking over from Dr. Sameer Sharma who is retiring from service on attaining the age of superannuation on 30 November 2022.

Orders in this regard were issued on 29 November.

Dr.K.S Jawahar Reddy is a senior IAS officer of the 1990 batch. He is currently working as the Special Chief Secretary to the Government, Water Resources Department and is also the Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Government of Andhra Pradesh. In the past, he has worked in various policy-making and policy-implementing positions with the state and central government in India. Dr. Reddy did his undergraduation in Animal Husbandry and post graduation in Feed Technology.

The Andhra Pradesh government has also announced the transfers of a few senior officials.

Dr. Poonam Malakondaiah, chief commissioner RBKs and special chief secretary to government (agriculture), agriculture and cooperation department is transferred and posted as special chief secretary to Chief Minister in the existing vacancy. The Member of Service is relieved from the full additional charge of the posts of special chief secretary to government, animal husbandry, dairy development and fisheries department and principal secretary to government (sugar), industries and commerce department.

Y. Madhusudhhan Reddy, the principal chief conservator of forests (wildlife) and chief wildlife warden, is placed in full additional charge of the posts of special chief secretary to the government (agriculture), agriculture and cooperation department, and special chief secretary to the government (animal husbandry, dairy development, and fisheries department), and principal secretary to the government (sugar), industries and commerce department until further orders.

Praveen Prakash, the principal secretary to the government (transport, roads, and buildings department) is transferred and posted as the principal secretary to the government, school education department.

The services of Pradyumna are withdrawn from the agriculture and cooperation department and the Member of Service is posted as secretary to the government (transport, roads, and buildings department). He is also relieved from the full additional charge of the post of commissioner of agricultural marketing.

Rahul Pandey, the special secretary to the government (housing department), is transferred and posted as the commissioner of agricultural marketing. He is placed in full additional charge of the post of managing director of AP MARKFED until further orders.

B. Mohamed Diwan Mydeen is transferred and posted as special secretary to the government (housing department).
