@DrTamilisaiGuv: Telangana Gov’s X account hacked; Raj Bhavan lodges police complaint

Hyderabad: Assistant Comptroller of Raj Bhavan has filed a complaint with the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police, alleging unauthorized access and potential hacking of the X (formerly Twitter) account of Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, @DrTamilisaiGuv.

The complaint outlines a series of suspicious activities that prompted the concern of the Raj Bhavan authorities. It all began when the Governor received a communication from Twitter's support team, pointing out a violation of the platform's rules attributed to a tweet on her official account

Subsequently, the situation escalated as the account's display picture (DP) was inexplicably removed, and attempts to log in were consistently met with an "incorrect password" prompt. These alarming occurrences have led the authorities to strongly suspect that the Twitter account of the Hon'ble Governor has been compromised.

Assistant Comptroller of Raj Bhavan, responsible for managing the administrative affairs, immediately took cognizance of the issue and reported it to the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police for a thorough investigation. A case has been registered and is currently under investigation.
