Ex-minister Devineni Uma, TDP leaders held while protesting MLC Ashok Babu's arrest

Hyderabad: The Guntur police arrested senior TDP leader and former minister Devineni Uma and a few others on Friday. They were protesting against the arrest of TDP MLC Ashok Babu in a forgery case.
An argument broke out between the police and the TDP leaders when the latter was prevented from entering the CID office. The police arrested Devineni Uma and a few other TDP leaders, including Kovelamudi Ravindra, Buchi Ramprasad, Pilli Manikyarao, Sukhavasi, and Kanaparthi, to bring the situation under control.
The TDP leaders alleged that the arrest was Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy's revenge against TDP.
