`Fevicol bond’: CM Revanth accuses BJP, BRS of having secret tie-up

Karimnagar: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Friday accused the BJP and BRS of having a "secret Fevicol bond" to undermine the Congress government.

Addressing the `Praja Palana – Pragathi Bata’ public meeting at Choppadandi, the chief minister dared both parties to a face-to-face debate on the state's development.

The 'Collusive Politics' Charge

Chief Minister Reddy took a direct shot at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, questioning why the Centre has not ordered a CBI probe into the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project despite the state Assembly passing a formal resolution six months ago.

"The Prime Minister himself previously called Kaleshwaram an 'ATM' for KCR. Why is there no action now?" Reddy asked.

He further challenged Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay, to prove his "political vigour" by securing a CBI inquiry and arresting former CM K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) rather than merely criticizing the state government.

The CM also highlighted the Centre's silence regarding:

Formula E Scam: A pending request to investigate an IAS officer’s role.

Palamuru-Rangareddy Project: Failure to grant "National Project" status despite PM Modi’s alleged promises.

  • Infrastructure Funds: Lack of support for the Musi River development and Metro Rail Phase-2.
  • Financial Crisis and Religious Snubs

Targeting the BRS leadership, Reddy claimed KCR had "thrown the state into a debt trap" before retreating to his farmhouse. He hit out at KCR, KTR, and Harish Rao for failing to visit the Medaram Jatara. "The BRS leaders should be ashamed for not worshipping the deities of the poor," he remarked, noting their absence at the significant tribal festival.

A Two-Year Report Card

During his address, the CM contrasted the current "People’s Government" with the previous 10-year BRS rule and the 12-year BJP tenure at the Centre.

Agriculture: Rs 1 lakh crore spent, Rs 2 lakh loan waiver for 25.35 lakh farmers

Employment: 70,000 jobs filled

Women's Welfare: Rs 9000 crore for free bus travel in RTC and Rs 27 crore business loans

Education: Young India Residential Schools in 100 constituencies

Health: Rajiv Aarogyasri limit enhancedto Rs 10 lakhs

Vision for 2027 and Beyond

Looking ahead to the Godavari Pushkaralu in 2027, the Chief Minister announced a massive spiritual and tourism circuit. The government plans to develop all temples along the Godavari river basin, from Basara to Bhadrachalam, alongside new eco-tourism projects.

For Northern Telangana, Reddy outlined a "Twin City" vision for Karimnagar and Warangal, which includes:

Developing an Outer Ring Road (ORR) for Karimnagar.

Establishing a shared dump yard between the two cities to generate electricity.

Strategic infrastructure upgrades following the upcoming municipal elections.

Chief minister Revanth Reddy urged voters to give Congress a resounding mandate in the municipal polls, asserting that his party would remain in power for the next eight years to make Telangana the "number one state in the country."
