The event was attended by drivers Andre Lotterer (Team Avalanche Andretti) and Jean Eric Vergne (Team DS Penske).
André Lotterer heads into his third season with TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team, leading the legendary German marque alongside compatriot Pascal Wehrlein as they battle for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. His career in the series included three victories in the 24 hours of Le Mans and the drivers’ title of the FIA World Endurance Championship. Lotterer has also competed in the Japanese Super Formula series for over a decade, winning the title in 2011.
Frenchman Jean-Éric Vergne made history after becoming the first back-to-back champion in Formula E following his title-winning campaigns in 2017-18 and 2018-19. He’s still looking for title number three, returning with DS as the marque joins forces with Penske Autosport for the Gen3 era and partnering with reigning champion Stoffel Vandoorne. With a long history in Formula E dating back to the inaugural 2014-15 season, Jean-Éric Vergne—more affectionately known as JEV—is the only driver in the series to have achieved more than a single title and back-to-back championship titles, both of which he claimed with current team DS Techeetah.
“Formula E Unplugged” presents a realistic picture of life inside the paddock and helps fans understand more about what makes the drivers tick and where they are coming from. It is a behind-the-scenes view of the lives of Formula E and its drivers.
