Free bus travel for women, Rs 3,000 for jobless youth: TDP-Jana Sena to unveil manifesto

Vizianagaram: TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu said they would provide free bus travel for women, Rs 3,000 stipend for jobless youth, and employment to 20 lakh youth if they come to power.

Naidu said the TDP-Jana Sena joint manifesto will be released soon,

On Wednesday, Naidu and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan shared the state addressing a large meeting convened to commemorate the culmination of Yuva Galam Padayatra of his son and party general secretary Nara Lokesh. Naidu expressed confidence that the alliance will trounce YSRCP in the forthcoming Assembly elections. He termed the alliance between TDP and Janasena as historic.

This is the first massive meeting of the TDP-Janasena alliance ahead of the polls in Andhra Pradesh.

Recalling how the pada yatras were undertaken earlier by him and the late NT Rama Rao, Naidu said "Padayatras in the country and the state are not new. I have undertaken padayatras and bus yatras earlier, but for the first time we are experiencing a war on the padayatra," he said pointing out at attacks on Lokesh's padayatra at several places.

Making it clear that everything would be paid back with interest, Naidu said during Yuva Galam people came out and showed how furious they were. Andhra Pradesh never witnessed such atrocities.

The foundation stone was laid during the TDP regime for the Bhogapuram airport, he said. “Had the party been back into power, it would have been completed the project by now. But this government has neglected it and did not take any measures to complete the airport,” he said.

"Who has given the right to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to construct a villa at a whopping Rs 500 crore by destroying the Rushikonda?" Naidu asked

He said the Chief Minister has dismantled Amaravathi. “Had the TDP been in power, Polavaram would have been completed,” he said, calling upon the people to work to rid the state of this sin.

Naidu said that the voters of the TDP and the Jana Sena are being deleted. "Now it is our responsibility to see to it whether our votes are there or not. I will take the responsibility to provide jobs to the youth and take the state forward. If you make a single sacrifice we will make 100 sacrifices to take the State much ahead on the path of development," Naidu said.

Naidu said that public meetings will also be organized at Tirupati and Amaravathi soon.

Meanwhile, Lokesh said if they come to power, TDP will dole out Rs 1,500 per month to women over 18 under the 'Mahashakti' scheme and financial aid to unemployed people under the Yuvagalam Nidhi scheme. He urged people to give the TDP-Janasena combine 160 Assembly seats and 25 Lok Sabha seats in the next elections to develop the state.
