On February 11, India's first-ever Formula E race will be held on a street circuit located at Hussainsagar in Hyderabad.

The inaugural championship race was held in Beijing in September 2014. Since 2020, the series has got FIA world championship status. On February 11, India's first-ever Formula E race will be held on a street circuit located at Hussainsagar in Hyderabad. Greenko will be powering the 2023 Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix event with renewable energy, making it the first-of-its-kind Net Zero event on this scale.
Here are things to know about Formula E:
1. This is the 9th season of the FIA Formula E world championship.
2. This is the 4th race of the season out of 16 races (rounds) and is being held in Hyderabad.
3. In total, 11 teams are participating, with 22 cars will participate, including notable names like McLaren, Maserati, Porsche, Jaguar, Nissan, and Mahindra Racing. All teams use the Formula E Gen3 car on Hankook tires.
4. Two Indian teams are Mahindra Racing and Jaguar TCS Racing.
5. 1st FIA World championship in India since the 2013 Indian Grand Prix.
6. A race day starts with two practice sessions in the morning of 30 minutes each
7. In the 9th season, the first-round winning driver is Jake Dennis of Avalanche Andretin Formula E.
8. The second and third rounds winning driver is Pascal Wehrlein of the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. He is currently holding the first position this season.
9. In the 8th season, the champion of 2021-22 Formula E, Stoffel Vandoorne, drove for Mercedes- EQ is currently racing for the newly formed DS Penske. He is currently in 15th position in the 9th season of Formula E.
10. Drivers to watch out for on February 11 are Jake Dennis and Pascal Wehrlein.
