Hyderabad: In what will surely come as a relief for students amidst the soaring temperatures, the Telangana director of school education on Monday announced that all schools in the state will open from 8 a.m to 12:30 p.m from 15 March.
The circular read, "All the regional joint directors of school education and district educational officers in the state are hereby informed that half-day schools will commence from 15 March till the last working day of the academic year 2021-22. The schools, i.e., primary, upper primary, and high schools, under all managements – government, private, and aided management – shall function from 8 a.m to 12:30 p.m."
The director also informed that mid-day meals will be provided to students at 12:30 p.m. However, special classes for class 10 students who are going to appear for the SSC examination in May 2022 will continue as before.
