Hayathnagar: 5 minors held for sexually assaulting classmate, recording act

By Newsmeter Network Published on 29 Nov 2022 12:57 PM GMTHyderabad: Five children in conflict with law (CCL) have been taken into custody by the Hayathnagar police for sexually assaulting a minor girl. According to the police, the five CCL boys are studying in classes 9 and 10.
A case has been registered against them under sections 449, 376DA read with section 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC); section 5 read with 6, 9 (g), 10 read with 11, (v) (Vi), 14, 15 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act 2012; and section 67A, 67B of the IT Act 2000.
The police also seized three cell phones from the boys.
According to the police, the CCL boys used to roam the outskirts of their school's locality after school hours and used to watch porn on their mobile phones.
The boys reportedly had their eyes on one of their classmates, and in August 2022, they sexually assaulted her at her home in the absence of her family. One of them captured the act on a cell phone. After 10 days, two of the CCL boys went to the girl's home and sexually abused her again and recorded it on their cell phone. When they shared the video with friends through WhatsApp, the girl narrated the entire incident to her parents. The parents approached the Hayathnagar police and lodged a complaint against the CCL boys.
