Gadwal: Tejeshwar’s wife Aishwarya and her alleged romantic partner Tirumala Rao are among eight people arrested
Gadwal: In a case that shocked the Telugu-speaking States, the Jogulamba Gadwal district police have solved the brutal murder of private surveyor Tejeshwar, revealing a disturbing plot driven by betrayal and greed.
Tejeshwar’s wife Aishwarya and her alleged romantic partner Tirumala Rao, a bank manager, are among eight people arrested for orchestrating the contract killing.
Illicit affair behind murder plot
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Gadwal Superintendent of Police (SP) T Srinivasa Rao said that the investigation found that Aishwarya and Tirumala Rao were in a relationship even before her marriage. Tejeshwar’s growing suspicions over their closeness reportedly led to tensions between the couple. Fearing exposure and seeking to continue their affair, the duo conspired to kill Tejeshwar by hiring a contract gang.
Marriage, GPS surveillance and pre-planned execution
Tejeshwar and Aishwarya were married on May 17 at the Beechupally temple and lived briefly in Kurnool. Once suspicions arose, Tejeshwar took his wife back to Gadwal. Meanwhile, the accused had already planted a GPS tracker on his motorcycle to monitor his movements and plotted several failed attempts to murder him.

Abduction and murder
On June 17, the gang finally succeeded. Tejeshwar was lured from his house, abducted and murdered inside a car. His body was then transported and dumped near Panyam in the Nandyal district. The police said they cracked the case using cell phone call data and GPS tracking details.
Fugitive lover caught in Kadapa
Post-murder, Tirumala Rao fled to Hyderabad and later hid at a friend’s residence in Proddatur, Kadapa district. Acting on leads from his associate Ashok, police arrested him.
The SP said the accused believed the case would remain a missing person’s complaint and planned to flee to Ladakh and later abroad. To support this plan, Rao even took a loan of Rs 20 lakh.
Weapons, cash and tracker seized
In the course of the investigation, police recovered significant evidence from the accused, including a car used in the abduction, two sickles, a knife, Rs 1.2 lakh in cash, 10 mobile phones and the GPS tracker.
SP T Srinivasa Rao praised the police team for their swift and detailed investigation that led to the arrest of all key suspects, exposing a cold-blooded conspiracy hidden behind a marriage.
