How Richmond Society women pooled Rs 1.26 Cr to buy Ganesh Laddu to fund charity

Hyderabad: A group of Richmond Villas Society women pooled their resources to buy Ganesh Laddu for Rs 1.26 crore to fund a charity.

Organized by RV Diya Charitable Trust, this annual fundraiser only reflects the generosity of the residents but also underscores the power of unity and goodwill within the community.

RV Diya Charitable Trust is a unique residential community-led charity group with a remarkable history of supporting leading NGOs in their day-to-day operations.

What sets this trust apart is its diverse group of volunteers, which includes senior super-specialty doctors, serial entrepreneurs, professionals, businessmen, agriculturalists, social activists, and senior citizens hailing from different corners of the country. Over the years, the trust has also welcomed individual donors from outside the community to participate in their fundraising endeavors.

Dr. Archana Sinha and Poornima Deshpande, as the Managing Trustees of the group, have been instrumental in driving the trust's mission to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need. Their dedication has resonated with the residents of Richmond Villas and beyond.

Speaking about the annual Ganesh Laddu auction, Dr. Archana Sinha shared, "It's incredible to see how our community comes together each year to support this noble cause.
