According to Singh's detailed complaint, around 80 individuals, including MLA Maganti Gopinath, Yousufguda division corporator Rajkumar Patel, and Vengalrao Nagar Corporator Dedeepya Rao, unexpectedly visited his home. What was meant to be a seemingly ordinary visit soon turned into a nightmare for Singh and his family.
During the visit, MLA Gopinath allegedly used profane and derogatory language against Singh and his family members asking about alleged derogatory banners installed at the temple. Shocked and offended by the insults hurled at him, Singh requested the MLA to refrain from such offensive language.
Subbaraju, MLA's personal assistant, reportedly attacked Singh from behind, ignoring the pleas of Singh's father to halt the violence. Several followers of the MLA joined in and assaulted both Ganesh Prasad Singh and his father. The whole episode of the attack was captured on CCTV camera and was submitted to police as evidence.
Recalling the horrific experience, Ganesh Prasad Singh stated, "Their behavior was very brutal. Despite our attempts to reason with them, they did not show any mercy. My father and I were helpless in front of their aggression."
Singh expressed concerns about his safety, fearing potential threats from the MLA and his associates. He asserted that the attack was unprovoked and unwarranted, and he is resolute in seeking justice for the trauma inflicted on him and his family.
A case has been booked against the Personal Assistant of MLA Maganti Gopinath and others. under section 448,504,323 r/w 34 IPC. The case is currently under investigation said Madhura Nagar police.
A counter FIR registered
In a surprising twist, a counter FIR has also been registered against Ravula Sreedhar Reddy, who is Chairman of Telangana State Education & Welfare Infrastructure Development Corporation, and his follower Ganesh Singh. The complaint was filed by Vengal Rao Nagar Corporator Dedeepya Rao. She alleged that on July 16, Sreedhar Reddy visited the temple to participate in the Bonalu celebration. When she inquired about the purpose of his visit, a heated argument ensued, during which Sreedhar Reddy used unparliamentary language and made threats, implying harm to her political future in front of higher authorities.
Furthermore, Dedeepya Rao cites a previous incident that occurred on May 18 when Sreedhar Reddy visited Krishnakanth Park and raised concerns about public issues. On that occasion, Rao questioned his visit without prior notice and protocol, leading the Chairman to respond with offensive language and derogatory remarks, belittling her role as a Corporator.
Despite these past clashes, Sreedhar Reddy, accompanied by his followers Ganesh Singh and Boda Ravi Kumar, visited the temple again, resulting in yet another confrontation with the Corporator and her party workers.
Based on Corporator Dedeepya's complaint, a case has been registered under sections 506 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code.
