Hyderabad: Car hits road divider before crashing into tree near Mirzaguda Gate; 4 students from IBS, MGIT killed

Hyderabad: Four students from IBS and MGIT were killed, and another suffered injuries when their car hit a road divider before crashing into a tree near Mirzaguda Gate in Ranga Reddy district.

According to police, a speeding Ecosport car lost control near Mirzaguda Gate in Chevella, hit the road divider, and then rammed into a tree.

The impact was so severe that four students died on the spot, while one student sustained serious injuries. He has been shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad for treatment.

The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Mokila Police Station. All five occupants were identified as students, most of them from ICFAI University (IBS).

The deceased were identified as:

Kargayala Sumith, 20. A resident of Flat No. D84, Western Medows, Kokapet, Narsingi, he was a BBA final year student at IBS College.

Sri Nikhil, 20. A resident of Flat No. 105, My Abodes, Manchirevula, Narsingi, he was a BBA final year student at IBS.

Balmuri Rohith, 18, an engineering student at MGIT. He hailed from Poulomi, Kokapet, near Rajapuram Regadia.

Devala Surya Teja, 20, a BBA 2nd year student at IBS. He hailed from Mancherial.

The injured has been identified as Nakshatra, a BBA 3rd year student.

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to the Chevella Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident. Overspeeding is suspected to be the primary cause of the crash.
