Hyderabad: Police have arrested Tollywood producer and realtor B Siva Ramakrishna, and two others for allegedly forging documents to grab 93 acres of government land at Raidurgam and Yacharam.
According to the Osmania University police, Siva Ramakrishna, along with K Chandrasekhar and M Lingammaiah prepared fake property documents at Raidurgam and got them attested at Telangana State Archives and Research Institute.
Siva Ramakrishna was well-known in the industry in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
The case dates back to 2003 when the State Archeology Department filed a case after detecting fraud. The Supreme Court also made it clear that the documents were fake. The investigation also revealed Siva Ramakrishna along with others forged documents and tried to grab the land.
According to the police, although the department did not possess the land-related records, the Record Assistant K Chandrasekhar attested the documents and gave them to Ramakrishna.
The documents were used as official records about the land. Cases were filed in the courts to grab the government land.
On a complaint from the higher officials of Telangana State Archives and Research Institute, a case was registered. During the inquiry, the Record Assistant was arrested. On interrogation, he revealed about the role of Ramakrishna and the other people involved.
According to the complainant Zareena Parveen, Director of the Telangana State Archives & Research Institute (TSARI), the department holds 43 million of extremely valuable old and historical records of perpetual value.
It possesses not only the administrative records but also the records of ruling dynasties of Deccan like Bahmani, Qutub Shahi, Adila Shahi, and also of the Mughals from the days of Emperor Shah Jahan onwards as well as a huge quantum of Asaf Jahi records.
K Chandrasekhar working as a Record Assistant since 1993 in their office colluded with some miscreants and succeeded in issuing the attested fake land documents like pahani, sethwar, etc. It has been noticed that fake documents of 83 acres of land in Raidurgam, 10 acres of land in Yacharam Mandal, Ibrahimpatnam, and a forged Farman were issued to miscreants.
Enquiry initiated:
When the issue came to light, the individual was placed under suspension and a detailed inquiry was conducted.
In the inquiry, Chandrasekhar confessed to having helped the miscreants in issuing the fake land documents. He also confessed that he had colluded with these miscreants only for want of money.
Sources said Rahman, an employee at Chief Commissioner, Land Records, Hyderabad is said to have also helped in forging documents.
Fake land documents created:
The 83 acres of invaluable land (Sy. No. 46) in Raidurgam has been mired in litigation.
On February 3, 2022, the High Court dismissed the orders of Telangana State Human Rights Commission, which without jurisdiction, ordered CCLA to hand over the disputed land to Lorvens Projects Pvt Ltd and Syed Rahimullah Hussaini.
On April 27, 2022, the High Court issued orders in favor of private parties by erroneously believing the authenticity of fake documents submitted by the respondents to be true and dismissed the state governmentās claim.
The state government filed a petition before the Supreme Court. On verification, it was proved that the accused had forged and fabricated documents.
The illegal documents were misused by these miscreants and created some legal litigation.
Role of Ramakrishna:
K Chandrasekhar misused his official position and made a false document. The document never existed in the records of Telangana State Archives & Research Institute, Tarnaka, Hyderabad. The document has been attested by Chandrasekhar who colluded with B. Sivaramakrishna and M. Lingamaiah in that matter.
The end use of these documents was that government land in the records of CCLA has been shown as private land through false documents and accordingly obtained the civil remedy.
