‘Hyderabad is your natural home’: CM Revanth invites Netflix to set up base in Future City

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has officially invited streaming giant Netflix to set up its corporate office within the upcoming Bharat Future City.

The Chief Minister offered the state’s full support for the expansion, noting that the project—which includes a dedicated Entertainment Zone and an AI City—is designed to house Fortune 500 companies.

“We invite Netflix to set up its corporate office in Bharat Future City. We are ready to extend all possible support. Hyderabad is a natural home for Netflix,” said CM Revanth.

This announcement was made in the presence of Jeff Shapiro, CEO of Eyeline Studios, Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Ministry of I&B and top Netflix executives.

‘Hollywood in Hyderabad’

The invitation was extended during the high-profile inauguration of Netflix’s Eyeline Studios in Hyderabad on Thursday. Joined by IT Minister D Sridhar Babu and actor Rana Daggubati, the Chief Minister hailed the launch of the world-class VFX and virtual production hub as a historic milestone.

“The launch of Netflix’s Eyeline Studios marks the arrival of Hollywood in Hyderabad,” CM Reddy declared, describing the facility as proof of the city’s growing dominance in the global Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming and Comics (AVGC) sector.

A hub for global content

Eyeline Studios will serve as a primary engine for Netflix’s global slate, providing cutting-edge visual effects for international films and series. The company credited the Telangana government’s ‘forward-looking policy environment’ as the deciding factor for choosing Hyderabad.

Key highlights of the partnership include:

1. Talent Development: The studio is expected to create high-quality employment and advanced skilling initiatives for local creative and technical talent.

2. Local Impact: The CM expressed hope that the facility would empower Telugu filmmakers to reach even greater global heights following the recent international success of regional cinema.

3. Strategic Integration: While Netflix sources content globally, the CM noted that Hyderabad is uniquely positioned to ‘connect opportunities and talent’ on a worldwide scale.
