Hyderabad Liberation Day: BJP's focus on 'One Twitter trend' draws flak from TRS
By Newsmeter Network Published on 9 Sep 2022 11:00 AM GMTHyderabad: A document titled "Scope of Work" reportedly by Union minister and senior BJP leader from Telangana G. Kishan Reddy on the groundwork and social media management for the upcoming Hyderabad Liberation Day has surfaced. However, among the many activities in store for 17 September, the BJP interestingly has put its focus on "Twitter Trend."
The document has details about the planning and execution of advertising and media works for the BJP ahead of the Hyderabad Liberation Day in Hyderabad from 15-17 September under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM).
According to reports, Union Home minister Amit Shah, Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai from the BJP, and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis are likely to be part of the Hyderabad Liberation Day.
Going by the document, the BJP is likely to paint the city saffron. The works listed out include promotions through regional social media influencers, promotions through Facebook and YouTube live of the event, drone coverage of the event, Sardar Patel hoardings (cut-outs) in various places in the city and "One Twitter trending" on 17 September from 8.30 a.m
The Twitter trend activity has reportedly drawn criticism from the Telangana Rashtra Samiti functionaries. Telangana Digital Media director Kontham Dileep took to social media and said:
How low is too low @kishanreddybjp garu? the RFP issued by Director, CCRTI, @MinOfCultureGoI for Telangana Liberation Day celebrations, has put "Twitter Trending" in Scope of Work!
