Hyderabad: The Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao condoled the death of Mukarram Jah, the grandson of seventh Nizam Osman Ali Khan, who ruled the princely state of Hyderabad till it was merged with India.
CM KCR expressed his deepest condolences to their family members.
In recognition of the social services rendered by Mukarram Jah in the fields of education and medicine for the poor as the successor of the Nizam, Chief Minister KCR directed Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari to conduct his last rites with the highest formality.
After the body of Mukarram Jah, who died on Saturday night in Istanbul, Turkey, reached Hyderabad, the CM told the government advisor AK Khan to take further steps to determine the time and place of the funeral as per the decision of his family members. AK Khan will be coordinating in this regard as per the instructions of the CM.
