Hyderabad: 'Varasudu,' the Telugu version of Thalapathy Vijay's Tamil film 'Varisu,' was initially slated for release on 12 January. But the makers have postponed the release. 'Varasudu' will now hit the screens on 14 January on Sankranti. Ahead of the release, the makers held a press meet that producer Dil Raju and actor Srikanth attended.
Speaking at the event, Dil Raju said, "This is a conscious decision to postpone the release. I want our heroes Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna's films to release first. I want them to have all the possible theatres first. After all the films release, I shall release 'Varasudu.' This is a decision that we chose to take consciously. I know my film will let go of many collections that it would have garnered on the first day. I am ready for it."
This decision has shaken the audience and the film industry. While there have been a lot of controversies, trolling, and confusion over the clash between Ajith and Vijay at the box office, Dil Raju's decision is making heads turn.
Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, 'Varasudu' has Thalapathy Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. The cast includes Sharath Kumar, Jayasudha, Srikanth, Sangeetha, Khushbu Sundar, Shyam, and Prabhu.
The music for the film is composed by Thaman. His background score elevates every scene in the trailer. The trailer proves that the makers have left no stone unturned when it comes to the production value of the film.
