IAS officer Ronald Rose denied allocation to Telangana cadre, to return to AP by October 16

Hyderabad: Another IAS officer D Ronald Rose has been denied allocation to the Telangana cadre. The Centre has rejected his request and was directed to report to the Andhra Pradesh government by October 16.

Ronald Rose was serving as the Energy Secretary of Telangana. He submitted his representation on April 7 and his request was reviewed by a single-member committee established by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) following High Court directions.

The committee, led by retired IAS officer Deepak Khandekar was given the duty to review the final allocation of All India Services (AIS) officers from the former Andhra Pradesh cadre between the successor states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, based on the recommendations of the Pratyush Sinha Committee.

ā€œThe recommendation of the committee rejecting Ronald Roseā€™s claim of allocating him to the Telangana cadre has been accepted by the competent authority in this department,ā€ the letter read.

Further, the Telangana State Government has been instructed for his immediate relief from current duties.

Tamil Nadu-born Ronald Roseā€™s first posting was in July 2007 as the assistant collector at the land revenue office in Hyderabad. In September 2008, he was transferred as sub-collector of Narsapur, as project officer of the ITDA (Integrated Tribal Development Agency) at Rampachodavaram in February 2010 and as additional CEO of rural development in the panchayat raj department in August 2011.
