IPS officer AV Ranganath posted as new Warangal Commissioner

Mr. Ranganath will be taking over Dr. Tarun Joshi, IPS who has been transferred to the DGP office in Telangana.

IPS officer AV Ranganath posted as new Warangal Commissioner

Hyderabad: Joint Commissioner of Hyderabad Police (Traffic), A V Ranganath, IPS has been appointed as the new Commissioner of Warangal Police Commissionerate. The Director General of Police, Telangana issued an order regarding the same on 30 November.

Mr. Ranganath will be taking over Dr. Tarun Joshi, IPS who has been transferred to the DGP office in Telangana.

Senior IPS officer Ranganath took charge as the city traffic chief in December 2021. Prior to this, he was working as the Superintendent of Police in Nalgonda district.

He has initiated a lot of traffic safety and solution oriented programs, the recent one being the Operation ROPE (Removal of Obstructive Parking and Encroachments) aimed at reducing illegal parking and encroachments of sideways so as to reduce the traffic on roads.
