Amaravati: A 2012-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, Siddharth Kaushal, has announced his voluntary resignation, bringing an end to his long career in Andhra Pradesh law enforcement.
In an official statement, Kaushal clarified that his decision was based purely on personal reasons, long-term goals and family preferences. He dismissed speculation suggesting that his resignation was due to harassment or external compulsion, calling such claims ābaseless and misleading.ā

Sources further revealed that Kaushal is expected to transition into the private sector, with indications that he may take up a corporate role based in Delhi.
Career highlights
Kaushal has served as Superintendent of Police in Krishna and Prakasam districts. He also held the post of Inspector General (Law & Order) before his recent promotion.
