IPS officers LS Chowhan, Rema Rajeshwari among 5 promoted to DIGP rank

Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Thursday promoted several IPS officers of the Telangana cadre.

The following IPS officers are hereby empanelled for promotion to the rank of deputy inspector general of police (DIGP) in the Super Time Scale (i), Level 13A in the Pay Matrix of IPS (Pay) Rules 2016: Ambar Kishore Jha, IPS (2009); Rema Rajeshwari, IPS (2009); L.S. Chowhan, IPS (2009); K. Narayan Naik, IPS (2009); Parimala Hana Nutan Jacob, IPS (2009); S. Ranga Reddy, IPS (2009).

Consequent on empanelment, Ambar Kishore Jha, who is on Central deputation, is granted pro-forma promotion to the rank of deputy inspector general of police (DIGP) in the Super Time Scale (i), Level 13A in the Pay Matrix of IPS (Pay) Rules, 2016.

Consequent on empanelment, the following IPS officers are promoted to the rank of DIGP and on promotion, retained in their existing postings as below:

1. Rema Rajeshwari, IPS (2009), is retained in the same post as the commissioner of police, Ramagundam.

2. L.S. Chowhan, IPS (2009), is retained in the same post as deputy inspector general of police, Jogulamba zone.

3. K. Narayan Naik, IPS (2009), is retained in the same post as joint commissioner of police, traffic, Cyberabad.

4. Parimala Hana Nutan Jacob, IPS (2009), is retained in the same post as joint commissioner of police (Admn.), Hyderabad City.

5. S. Ranga Reddy, IPS (2009), is retained in the same post as superintendent of police (PCS&S).
