Iran Vs US: 8 International flights from Hyderabad cancelled

Hyderabad: Eight international flights departing from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, to different destinations have been canceled following the shutdown of airspace in the UAE.
The number of flights cancelled may increase based on the prevailing situation. While the Indian consulates in the UAE have also issued advisories to their citizens, asking them not to undertake unnecessary travel. The situation follows the attack by Iran against US establishments in 5 different countries, including Israel, Kuwait, UAE, and others.
As of now, the airspaces of Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar are closed, according to reports. The immediate fallout at the Hyderabad airport has seen the cancellation of vital connections to the Gulf.
The specific flights identified as cancelled include Air India flight AI 2203 to Dubai (DXB) and seven IndiGo services: 6E 1315 to Doha (DOH), 6E 1421 to Sharjah (SHJ), 6E 1407 to Abu Dhabi (AUH), 6E 1233 to Kuwait (KWI), 6E 085 to Dammam (DMM), and 6E 1495 to Ras Al Khaimah (RKT).
The list also includes the cancellation of the inbound IndiGo flight 6E 1449 from Abu Dhabi to Hyderabad.

What do the Airlines say?
These specific cancellations are part of a wider suspension of services announced by major Indian carriers. Air India has confirmed that "in view of the developing situation in parts of the Middle East, all Air India flights to all destinations in the Middle East have been suspended." The airline emphasized its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and stated they would "continue to assess the safety and security environment for our flight operations and adjust operations proactively as required."
Similarly, IndiGo has grounded its fleet for these routes, stating that due to "evolving airspace restrictions around Iran and Middle East, all flights to and from Middle East are cancelled till 0000hrs." The airline assured passengers that teams are continuously monitoring the situation to recalibrate operations and minimize disruption.
