Jagan transfers 21 IAS, 28 IPS officers before the polls, full list here

Amaravati: Ahead of the Andhra Pradesh polls, several IAS and IPS officers have been transferred.

It began a week ago when the Election Commission placed Annamayya district collector PS Girisha under suspension for violation of guidelines.

The ECI communicated the decision to the chief secretary and CEO asking them to make a replacement. The ECI suspended Girisha for irregularities in managing the electoral rolls during the Tirupati Lok Sabha by-election held in 2021. Girisha was then a returning officer (RO) and commissioner of Tirupati Municipal Corporation.

EC asks to hold transfers till Jan 5, 2024:

It may be noted that in October 2023, Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mukesh Kumar Meena issued an order that the officials including district collectors, joint collectors, district revenue officers, municipal commissioners, electoral registration officers, and assistant registration officers should not be disturbed from their existing places, without permission from ECI from October, 27 to January, 5, 2024.

After the deadline, the government began reshuffling the officers. The majority of the officers transferred are district collectors.

IAS officers who have been transferred

Srikakulam District Collector Lathkar Srikesh Balaji Rao is transferred and posted as Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration.

Manazir Jilani Samoon is transferred and posted as Collector of Srikakulam district.

K.Venkata Ramana Reddy, Collector and District Magistrate, Tirupathi District, is transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of the Housing Department for posting him as Managing Director, A.P. State Housing Corporation Ltd

Dr G Lakshmisha is posted as Collector & District Magistrate, Tirupathi District.

Dr K. Srinivasulu, Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate, Prakasam District is transferred and posted as Collector & District Magistrate, Nandyal District.

Mutimbaku Abhishikth Kishore, Joint Secretary to Government,

Finance Department is transferred and posted as Collector & District Magistrate, Annamayya District.

A. Thameem Ansaria who is waiting for posting is placed at the disposal of the Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department for posting her as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Srikakulam.

Dr B.R. Ambedkar, Director, Disaster Management & E.O Joint Secretary to Government, Revenue (DM) Department is transferred and posted as Joint Collector & Additional District Magistrate, Parvathipuram Manyam District.

Ronanki Kurmanath, Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate SPS Nellore District is transferred and posted as Director, Disaster Management & E.0 Deputy Secretary to Government, Revenue (DM) Department.

KS Viswanathan, Joint Collector, and Additional District Magistrate, Visakhapatnam District is transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of the Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department for posting him as Additional Commissioner, Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation.

Kathawate Mayur Ashok, Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate, Vizianagaram District is transferred and posted as Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate, Visakhapatnam District

Around 28 IPS officers and two non-cadre SPs have been transferred in the state.

Vijayawada deputy commissioner of police (DCP), Vishal Gunni, has been transferred and posted as DIG, Visakhapatnam range.

Vijayawada rural DCP Ajita Vajendla has been transferred and posted as West Godavari district SP.

Atul Singh, chairman, the state-level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), has been transferred and posted as ADG, APSP.

CID, Inspector General of Police, Ch Srikanth, was transferred and posted as IG, OCTOPUS, vice SV Rajasekhara Babu, who is posted as SLPRB Chairman.

IGP (Intelligence) Counter Intelligence Cell Kolli Raghuram Reddy is transferred and posted as IGP, Vigilance and Enforcement.

Sarvashresth Tripathi, IGP (Administration) of the DGP office, is transferred and posted as IG, CID. DIG, Visakhapatnam, S. Hari Krishna, has been transferred and posted as IGP (Personnel), of the DGP office.

S V Rajasekhara Babu, who is posted as SLPRB chairman.

Vigilance and Enforcement (V&E) director general Kumar Viswajeet has been transferred and posted as additional director general (railways).
