Kabali film producer KP Chowdary dies by suicide in Goa

Hyderabad: Kabali film producer KP Chowdary (44) aka as Sunkara Krishna Prasad Chowdary, died by suicide at his residence in North Goa on Monday due to depression and no one should be held responsible for his death.
According to police, Chowdhary was under depression for the past few days and they recovered a suicide note from the bedroom of the deceased. The producer also said in the note that his body should be handed over to his mother who lives in Tamil Nadu.
The police said that for the past seven months, the producer has been residing in a leased flat in Siolim, North Goa. When his friend called this morning, the producer did not respond to phone calls and messages.
Chowdary's friend informed the flat owner that the producer's body was hanging from the ceiling fan. Upon receiving information about the incident, police rushed to the spot and took him to a nearby hospital.
Doctors after examining him declared dead. The deceased was shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim.
In June 2023, Chowdary was arrested by the Cyberabad Police in connection with a drugs case. The police seized 90 sachets of cocaine, amounting to a total weight of 82.75 grams from Chowdary.
Who is KP Chowdary?
KP Chowdary, who hails from Bonakal mandal in Khammam district. He pursued B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and subsequently served as the Director of Operations at the Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering and Technology in Pune, Maharashtra.
Chowdary entered the film industry in 2016, producing the Telugu version of Rajinikanth starrer Kabali film. Although he worked as a distributor of two Telugu films, namely Sardar Gabbar Singh and Seethamma Vakitlo Srimalle Chettu, as well as the Tamil film Kanitan, he did not achieve the expected profits.
Following his business setbacks, Chowdary relocated to Goa, where he founded the OHM Club. He then developed associates with friends and visiting celebrities from Hyderabad, who regularly visited his club in Goa.
According to reports, Chowdary purchased ganja from Petit Ebuzer, a Nigerian, and used it for both personal use and local supply. He is also connected to drug lord Edwin Nunes, who HNEW had previously captured.
