Kamal Haasan to shoot Indian 2 in Tirupati; fans eager to meet visit

Tirupati: Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and visionary filmmaker Shankar are gearing up for the film 'Indian 2' (Bhaarateeyudu 2), the sequel to the 1996 superhit 'Bharateeyudu.' The film's first schedule wrapped up in Chennai and the next schedule is to begin on 22 January on the outskirts of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

Photos from the shooting sets are going viral on social media, and Kamal Haasan's fans are eagerly waiting for their favourite actor to visit Andhra Pradesh.

The cast includes Kajal Aggarwal, who learned the basics of the Indian martial arts form Kalaripayattu for her role, Rakul Preeth, and Siddharth. Earlier, in October 2022, Kajal Aggarwal visited Tirupati to shoot some scenes. In the forest area near Ramapuram waterfalls, on the outskirts of Tirupati, the film's team is constructing houses with bamboo sticks to build a village. According to sources, Kamal Haasan will reprise the role of Thatha in the sequel and the film will be set in the post-Independence period.

Only two weeks left for the team to visit Tirupati! The team also went to Rajahmundry in September 2019 to shoot some sequences.

In Andhra Pradesh, Visakhapatnam has been a major asset for the Telugu film industry, right from 'Maro Charitra' of 1978 to the upcoming film 'Waltair Veerayya.' Now, other districts, including Tirupati and Rajahmundry, are turning out to be good locations for big movies.
