Karimnagar- Medak MLC polls: Meet BJP candidate Malka Komaraiah, who owns DPS, has Rs 61 Cr assets, but not a car

Telangana: Malka Komaraiah, BJP candidate for Karimnagar- Adilabad-Nizamabad and Medak Teacher’s MLC seat, owns assets worth Rs 61 crore. This includes the wealth of his wife. However, both he and his spouse do not own a car.

Malka is contesting against Congress candidate V Narender Reddy, owner of Alphores Educational Institutions.

Malka comes across as one of the richest candidates to contest the elections.

Earlier, Malka tried for an MP ticket from the BJP for the Malkajgiri Lok Sabha constituency. However, the ticket was given to Eatala Rajender. Earlier, he had lost the Huzurabad Assembly seat. To compensate, the BJP fielded Malka from the Teacher's MLC seat.

ECI has issued a notification for the conduct of Biennial Elections to the Telangana Legislative Council for Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Graduates’ Constituency; Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar & Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teachers’ Constituencies; and Medak-Nizamabad-Adilabad-Karimnagar Teacher’s ’ Constituency

Polling will be held on February 27, and results will be announced on March 3.

Wealth of Malka:

Malka owns a Group of schools, including Delhi Public School -Nacharam, Nadergul, Mahendra Hills; and Pallavi Group of Educational Institutions.

Malka and his wife, together, own movable assets worth Rs 38.40 crore, which include investments, gold weighing 4457 grams worth Rs. 1.12 crore.

In his affidavit, he mentioned that he and his wife do not own any vehicle, which is contrary to the fleet of cars he travels in.

Malka holds shares in GVK Power, KSK Ventures, Minarva Power, Kadavakallu Wind Energy, Lanco Infra Tech, Pallavi Media, and more.

He and his spouse own immovable property worth Rs 23.21 crore

Malka holds a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering B Tech from Osmania University.

Criminal Record:

Malka is facing a criminal case in Bangalore. He has been booked by Bangalore police in a land purchase case.
