Kavitha resigns from BRS, says Harish Rao, Santosh want to destroy BRS

Hyderabad: Former BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha Rao has resigned from her position a day after she was suspended by the party. On the day she submitted her resignation, Kavitha made explosive allegations about infighting in the BRS party.

Here’s an overview of what Kavitha has claimed about what is going on inside the BRS party:

‘Harish Rao is close with Congress, BJP’

1. Political attacks against me began after Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and BRS MLA T Harish Rao travelled together on a flight. All the cases initially investigated against Harish Rao have been dropped, thanks to that joint flight trip. Harish Rao is in touch with Congress and the BJP.

2. Harish Rao funded more than 20 BRS MLA candidates in the last State Assembly elections. He did this to have an MLA vote bank in case the party loses polls.

3. Harish Rao made a lot of money from the Kaleshwaram project, and the same was funded on opposition MLAs to ensure KCR and KTR lose in their respective Assembly Constituencies. I ask the chief minister to explain why the probe against corruption in milk supply to Telangana welfare schools has been dropped.

Role of social media

4. Harish Rao manages the media by planting negative stories about me. When BRS working president KT Rama Rao (KTR) manages social media, why is there so much being published against me? Why didn’t the BRS working president say a word?

5. I know who manages BRS social media. They are all bachaas/kiddos (newbies). They were not even born when I began my political career with TRS. All they know is to abuse (troll).

‘Santhosh wants to break us three’

6. Harish Rao and Joginapally Santhosh Rao want to destroy my family. They want to see the end of the party. They have been trying to break us three (KCR, KTR and Kavitha), and they succeeded in ousting me.

7. Pochampally Srinivas Reddy happens to be a classmate of Santhosh. Though he thanks KCR for his political post, he considers Santhosh a God. Santhosh, Pochampally Srinivas Reddy and MLC Naveen have invested in multi-crore properties. At Mokila, they are now building a Rs 2,000+ crore villa project, Bluefin Sylvanor, along with MEIL. The project has 147 villas, each starting at Rs 15 crore.

‘No intention to float another party’

8. Harish Rao and Santhosh Rao both have separate gangs that influence my father, KCR. And my brother KTR turns a blind eye.

9. Harish Rao was successful in ousting Eatala Rajendra, Mynampally Hanumanth Rao and Vijay Shanthi from the party.

10. Harish Rao and his gang regularly travel to Hampi to strategise against KCR.

11. Over time, I will reveal everything, including which MLA is with whom?

12. I have resigned from the party and have no plans to float another party. My only concern is that this will keep me far from my mother.

‘Family keeping me away’

13. On Rakhi day, I personally called my brother KTR and asked him if I could come with the media and tie Rakhi to him. However, he wasn’t in the city. I approached my family many times, but they chose to keep me away.

14. Not once did my brother take serious action against those planting negative stories or holding press conferences against me in BRS Bhavan. Even as the working president of BRS, he allowed political attacks on me. My only concern is that I will have to stay away from my mother due to everything that is going on.

15. The party was quick to act against me; they tore apart my posters, flexis and banners and issued a suspension order. Did they have the same response when the Congress Government served a notice against KCR or when Chief Minister Revanth ordered a CBI probe into the alleged corruption in the Kaleshwaram project?
